Don't know why but I'm strangely calm about today's dendrology mid-term exam, - and I'm about 70% sure that I won't pass. I mean, who the hell can tell (this almost rhymes) the difference between the branches of Cupressus sempervirens or Cupressus arizonica? Or Pinus ponderosa and Pinus wallichiana? WHO?? Show me that person and I'll disguise him/her as myself and make him/her do the test for me.
Seems like me, Ana and Marina (not my sister) are the only ones who're really seriously interested in the scholarship/exchange thing, and I'm glad because of it. The fewer competitors, the better. I know I shouldn't get pumped up with adrenaline every time I think of my application, but in my mind I've already packed my things.
I'm off to have some breakfast and then I'll head to uni to study some dendrology with my mobile and the photos that I have in it. It'll be, err, "fun" sitting in the last row at the amphitheatre when the plant physiology professor is surely lecturing about something very interesting (yeah right) but much less important than decorative plants and their characteristics.
If a miracle happens, I'll pass the test. Thumbs up!
Later: Ooh, I didn't fail the test! I got only 6 out of 10 right but what the hell, I passed. No more pines and firs and thujas for me!
