Smooth criminal

I went Christmas shopping yesterday! When I told A about it, her reaction was like "aww, that's so cute! You buy Christmas presents!". I had forgotten that people don't buy presents for Christmas but New Year here, I think it's either some old communism thing or then it has something to do with the old orthodoxic calendar. The communism option would be much more fun though. Anywho, I'm almost finished with all this shopping for presents, meaning that I've spent a good deal of cash (it's good that I'm not too attached to my money) and managed to get about 90% of the things that I had planned to get. Plus, of course, some extra stuff for me, like a new wallet. Don't you dare laugh at me, but it's another "Vuitton". It wasn't inexplicably expensive and well.. like I said, the old one is looking kinda horrible after spending about 6 months at the bottom of my purse. I promise to take better care of this one. I think this new wallet is far more practical too than the old one because I can keep coins and my oh-so-numerous (ha) credit cards in it. Actually there's only two and the other one is useless because I still haven't got my internet username and password for my Serbian bank account (wich I ordered about.. let me see, 8 months ago) so that I could transfer some money from my dinar account to my euro account. Yes, the system is complicated and clearly very inefficient, as you can see from the 8 month delay with the username and password. And I just can't be bothered to contact the bank about it. The staff is so weird there, they thought my brother has connections with the mafia because he gets so much money from Finland every month. Sometimes when I go there to draw out some money, they keep coming up with these silly new "security rules" (extra paperwork and that sort of stuff) and they have to consult their colleagues about giving me the money or something. Do I really look like a criminal?

I'm off to study some more dendrology, I might pass today's mid-term exam (written part) if I'm lucky and the stars are on my side. I know some of the questions only require us to choose the right option (a, b or c), so even if I knew nothing, there's still the 33% chance of getting it right. Too bad that there are also those annoying "fill in" questions. Oh well, what's meant to be is meant to be and I'm not going to stress out more than I have to. Wish me luck.
